Big Deal North Golf Reminder

Hey golfers hope all is well.

With the this year's event just around the corner, here's a few reminders:

• Dress code
  The courses that we are playing this year have strict dress codes.
  Please take note of the following (taken from Stonetree's website):
  • "Soft Spike Only" facility
  • Gentlemen's shirts are to have a collar
  • Appropriate fashion tops for women
  • Tee shirts and tank tops are prohibited
  • Shorts to be mid-thigh length, no cutoffs please
  • No denim clothing allowed
  
  
• Short Game Skills Challenge
  As in previous years we will be having a 3 Day Short Game Skills Challenge!
  Please remember to drop by the putting and or chipping areas after your round each day to participate in the challenge. Please first turn in your scorecards and before getting food take your turn at the challenge. Rob will be operating the skills challenge for only an hour or so after each round.

The BigDealNorthGolf Committee has decided that this year's event will consist of the following formats for each day:

• Day 1 Shamble
• Day 2 Scramble
• Day 3 Best ball

Big Deal North Golf Reminder

Hey golfers hope all is well.

Just a brief reminder that we are less than 2 months away from Big Deal North. We wanted to thank all of you who have already sent your entries in as it makes our job so much easier. The response has been great... it looks like we will have a full field of brothers and sisters (we have to limit the entries to the first 80). Please check out the 2008 Event Details page for some rules and special notes for this year event. We look forward to seeing all of you in August.

Big Deal North Golf Event 2008
^{August 14-16, 2008}

The 5th annual, Big Deal North Golf Event is all set! Once again the event will consist of two man teams with three days of Fun, Golf, and Christian Association.

We really appreciated all who attended last years tourny and encourage you to come back because we have secured three great golf courses in Northern California:

• Petaluma's Rooster Run
  (where we have never seen any Running Roosters!).
• The always challenging Stonetree Golf Club
  (with its dramatic changes in elevations).
• Links At Bodega Bay
  (on the Pacific Ocean & the site of Hitchcock's movie "The Birds").

We again have set the dates in August which is a better time for all, especially for those with kids who have to head back to school late August/early September, and not to mention some of our best weather here in the beautiful Wine Country!

Last year we inaugurated the two day, four event - Short Game Skills Challenge. Which tested our skills around the greens with putting, chipping, and lobbing contests. The totals were compiled to give an overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers. Practice your short game, beacause once again we will be offering the Short Game Skills Challenge! Trophies to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.
